Euro Insurances DAC is a non-life insurance company regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. Euro Insurances is a subsidiary of LeasePlan Corporation N.V. (“LeasePlan”) which is a global car leasing company with leasing operations in 32 countries globally (“LeasePlan Entities”). Euro Insurances is active in 23 countries where it provides insurance services and fleet management solutions (“Services”) for clients of LeasePlan Entities. The data which is processed by Euro Insurances is in relation to the Services which Euro Insurances provides to you as the customer of the LeasePlan Entity or to you as the driver whereby your employer is the customer of the LeasePlan Entity. The Services start with the commencement of the insurance policy. Euro Insurances also process your data when the insured vehicle is involved in an accident for which a claim for compensation is made.
In order to provide you with the Services, Euro Insurances works closely with Service Partners and Service Providers. Service Partners are companies which assist Euro Insurances in providing its Services to you and, for example include claim handers, intermediaries and reinsurers. Service Providers are companies retained by Euro Insurances to support it running its business, for example to maintain its IT network and related infrastructure.
How does Euro Insurances receive and process your personal information?
There are a variety of ways in which Euro Insurances comes into the possession of your personal information, such as when your vehicle is insured by Euro Insurances, when you visit this Euro Insurances website, when the insured vehicle is involved in accident for which a claim for compensation is made or when you otherwise interact with Euro Insurances. Your personal information may come from you directly or indirectly when you engage with our Service Partners, for example when you engage our appointed claim handler following an accident involving the insured vehicle.
When you visit this Euro Insurances website, Euro Insurances may collect personal information about you, either directly (where you are asked to provide the data) or indirectly. Euro Insurances will, however, only use this personal information in accordance with the purposes set forth in this Privacy Statement and is committed to safeguarding the personal information collected.

Euro Insurances provides your information to Service Partners only to the extent necessary for delivering the relevant services (e.g. claim handling). Euro Insurances will put in place (contractual) arrangements that are aimed at ensuring that its Service Partners treat your information no less stringent than Euro Insurances does.
Euro Insurances is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information which it collects and processes. Compliant privacy and data security practices have therefore become integral components of Euro Insurances’ Services, corporate governance, accountability and risk management. Euro Insurances therefore process only such personal information as is necessary for the provision of the relevant Services.

Responsibilities of Clients
Insofar as clients of LeasePlan Entities (employers) have access to personal information, the client (employer) is the data controller responsible for the processing and use thereof. This Statement does not apply to the processing and use of personal data by clients of LeasePlan Entities (employers).
Who is the controller of your personal information?
Euro Insurances DAC is the company responsible for the processing of your personal information (data controller) when Euro Insurances receives your personal information from its appointed claim handlers when you, your employer or a third party makes a claim in relation to an accident involving the insured vehicle. Euro Insurances is a joint controller with the LeasePlan Entity and with LeasePlan when it receives your personal data from the LeasePlan Entity in order to insure your vehicle.
1. For which purposes do Euro Insurances process your personal information.
1.1 Euro Insurances website
Euro Insurances collects your information when you send it via the online contact form, for example when you send questions. For this purposes Euro Insurances collects your full name, email contact details and other personal information which you may provide in the open field entry of the contact form.
Euro Insurances collect your personal information when Euro Insurances provide insurance cover to you through our affiliate the LeasePlan Entity. For this purpose Euro Insurances collect your full name, address and vehicle registration number.
Euro Insurances collects your personal information from you when you make a claim to its appointed claim handler. For this purpose Euro Insurances collects your name, contact details, vehicle details, accident details, damage details/photos of the incident, date of birth, profession, marital status, number of dependants, number of passengers in the vehicle, information of witnesses to the accident (if applicable) and any other information you choose to provide in the context of the accident (including any information pertaining to possible injuries).
Euro Insurances collect your personal information from third parties (such as individuals involved in the accident, witnesses, insurance companies and other) through its appointed claim handlers. For this purpose Euro Insurances collects the information of third parties involved in the accident/incident (such as the identity of your passengers, driver and passengers of third-party vehicles, and the insurance information of other third parties involved, information about the incident and third-party claims).
Euro Insurances collects your information from authorities (such as police) through its appointed claim handler. For this purpose Euro Insurances collects your name, address, license plate number, information regarding the accident, police reports and witness statements.
You may be required to provide Euro Insurances (through its appointed claim handler) with sensitive personal data e.g. details about your health and convictions and the health and convictions of third parties. This information is important and will remain confidential. Processing your sensitive personal data may be necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
2. With whom does Euro Insurances share your personal information?
Euro Insurances may also share certain information with its affiliated LeasePlan Entities, with appointed Service Partners and with regulatory bodies where required by law. For the purposes of claim resolution, Euro Insurances’ appointed claim handlers may share information with body repair shops, third party car insurance companies and professional experts employed on its behalf or on behalf of third parties (such as lawyers, medical experts, investigators, etc.).
3. Does Euro Insurances transfer personal information to another country?
Due to the global nature of the Services provided by Euro Insurances, your personal information may be stored and/or processed in a country other than the one you reside in. Euro Insurances will ensure that if your data is transferred to another country, it will continue to receive adequate protection, such as through LeasePlan’s own Binding Corporate Rules or through contractual arrangements put in place with third parties.
4. How long does Euro Insurances retain personal information?
Euro Insurances will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Statement, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by applicable law.
5. How does Euro Insurances secure personal information?
Your personal information is treated as strictly confidential and Euro Insurances has taken the appropriate technical and organizational security measures against loss or unlawful processing of such information. To this purpose, Euro Insurances uses several security techniques, including secure servers, firewalls and encryption, as well as physically safeguarding the locations where personal information is stored.
6. Can minors use the Services?
The Services of Euro Insurances are not directed at individuals under the age of 18.
7.How to deal with updates to this Statement?
Euro Insurances may change this Statement at any time. Please take a look at the “Last Updated” legend at the top of this document to see when this Statement was last revised. Any changes to this Statement will become effective when Euro Insurances posts the revised Statement. Your use of the Services following these changes means that you accept the revised Statement.

Please note that Euro Insurances may need to retain certain information for record keeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that began prior to requesting such change or deletion. There may also be residual information that will remain within the databases and other records, which will not be removed.
